Trump represents a moderation of how America was built, it’s the real nostalgia when everyone else knew their place was not at the table. Many Americans live that way, we see it in the workplace and especially on Sunday. Yet, I’m shocked that people are shocked that the erasure, omissions, repressions and suppressions are anything other than American. Now we can build a new America, but America has never, I repeat, never been the America that it was meant to be. Never, ever. We have yet to achieve that so there’s no reference point for something that has never been a reality other than what Trump represents. Trump represents America’s reality of hate and fear. Hate and fear built America. Sadly, he’s far more realistic than many of us who criticize his reality based presentation of global colonialism in America. America’s cruelty is so evident all around the globe and cruelty always starts at home. Trump has just reminded Americans that at their core many of them are fundamentally and religiously anti-others and correctly interpret the exclusionary measures of an amended Constitution that has always legalized patriotic cruelty such as Jim Crow.
