Tales of Wells Fargo

I like the lies. They are entertainingly comfortable. They are comfortable because it would be nice if the lies were true. For me, that’s the appeal.

Dale Robertson as Jim Hardie is a detective. Really he is the bank’s hired goody-two-shoe gunman. Well actually he stops gunmen from robbing Wellsfargo.

However, the entire series is based on banker’s lies & actual universal tales of morality.

He’s virtually above morality, he’s the participatory lawman who is big screen handsome and overly fair. Just his mere presence conjures respect. When he comes to town word spreads fast because all criminals and would be criminals must beware.

You see, he’s in the business of fighting all sorts of crime, banking and otherwise. No injustice can survive if he knows about it.

The mayor, judge, and sheriff of any town is always glad to see him. Those who are for law and order are all in for him. Unless, of course, any of them are corrupt or are in other ways contemptible.

Crooks duck and dodge him, for no misdeed is too small to not warrant some serious confrontational justice.

Better men are made because of him.

Too bad it is a lie then.

Too bad it is a lie now.
