Being against reparations for any reason is also harsh and arguably deadly. Reparations, when sufficiently protected, would make racism virtually immaterial; at least in impact. Discrimination in housing, public education, prison warehousing, etc., would matter much less since economic strength can always be leveraged for desired political and social outcomes. There’s proof: Black Wall Street, Idlewild, Garvey’s accomplishments, etc. That’s why economic liberation is rationally? shot down: it works and when sufficiently protected has the desired effect of healing racism since racism’s impact would be appreciably diminished. “Healing racism” is outcome based. It’s a measurable effect not a mindset. So I stand by my statement, opposition to reparations is not in the higher interests of social justice or racial healing but the following is:
